Storm flooding in the UAE is driven by drainage capacity, not elevation — which is why we only ever list communities that were reported flooded in a specific event, with the reporting cited, and never score a community by how high it sits.

There is no official public per-community flood dataset for Abu Dhabi, so this page only ever lists communities that named reporting placed under water in a named event. We hold no such entries for Abu Dhabi today, so the list is empty.
Empty means unreported, not safe. We will not fill the gap with an elevation proxy: in a flat, coastal emirate that mislabels waterfront communities that drain straight to the sea as high-risk, and inland communities that actually pond as low-risk.

Methodology
Observed severity is a conservative, source-cited read of which communities named reporting placed under water in a specific storm event — "Severe" for prolonged standing water or evacuations, "Reported" for waterlogging. We deliberately do not score risk from elevation: Abu Dhabi is flat and flooding is driven by drainage capacity, so an elevation proxy mislabels coastal communities that drain straight to the sea. Elevation is shown only as context.
This is indicative only — not an engineering, drainage, planning or insurance assessment. There is no official public per-community Abu Dhabi flood dataset, so this reflects public reporting of individual events. A community not listed was simply not reported flooded — that is not evidence of safety. See the full methodology.
